  • Hootie and the Blowfish are set to play the Homegrown Concert Series

Hootie and the Blowfish rarely perform concerts any more, but they’ll return for their 10th annual Homegrown Concert Series at the Family Circle Magazine Stadium on Daniel Island this summer.

Lead singer/guitarist Darius Rucker, lead guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber, and drummer Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, and various special guests will hit the stage Aug. 17-18. The Homegrown Concert Series is designed to raise funds and collect back-to-school supplies for the Charleston County School District.

Tickets are on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com, and the Family Circle box office by phone at (800) 745-3000. Prices range from $31 for single night general admission to $91 for the two-night top tier package. Children 12 years old or younger may get in for free.
