The next Charleston International Film Festival is set for April 24-28, 2013.
This year they had 5,000 in attendance, which is 1,000 more guests than 2011. Executive Director Ron Krauskopf tells us there will definitely be another opening night street party, or “cocktail block party,” as his wife calls it. This past year it was held on George Street with music, food, and drinks, kicking off the festival on the eve of the opening night.
Like last year, most of 2013’s film screenings will be held at the Sottile Theatre, but the fest wants to continue spreading them around the city. Krauskopf also tells us that CIFF is talking with some new sponsors, which could add some excitement to next year’s proceedings.
