The Gibbes Museum of Art’s upcoming season includes exhibits from the museum’s permanent collection along with traveling exhibitions. In September, they’ll host a collection of rock ‘n’ roll photography as well as works by Charleston sculptor Willard Hirsch. In January, we’ll get a peek at the collection of Lowcountry artist Jonathan Green and his partner Richard Weedman, and we’ll also see Civil Rights-era photos by James Karales. Then in May, there will be a community-curated exhibition featuring works selected by fans of the Gibbes, along with works by Stephen Mueller and Carl Palazzolo. See gibbesmuseum.org for more details.
