Mt. Pleasant’s Wild Wing Cafe is in the midst of its annual Last Band Standing competition, which matches up local groups for the chance to win radio rotation on 105.5 The Bridge, $1,000 to spend at Guitar Center, a chance to play the Wild Wing circuit, and a three-song EP recorded, mixed, mastered, and printed by Charleston Sound. The first bout went down on Aug. 1, where Dan’s Tramp Stamp beat out the Scott Freier Band. Next up is the Tarlatans against the Cordovans on Aug. 8 and Rustic Remedy against Volusia on Aug. 15, with more battles planned for the future.
