We humans love to personify animals, and if there is one thing that is better than talking animal flicks, it’s when the critters dance. This weekend has grouped tons of animal-oriented events all landing on Saturday that are sure to have you whirling and twirling with animal fun.

Friday, don’t miss PURE’s The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity — this wrestling tale was a finalist for the Pulitzer. Or check out the Found Footage Festival, where VHS tapes discovered at thrift shops and garage sales throughout North America reveal hilarious and odd moments. Hosts Joe Picket of The Onion and Nick Prueher from the Late Show with David Letterman will provide commentary on the comical gems.

Strut your stuff at the Charleston Fashion Week Open Model Castings at Patriot’s Point.

The Charleston Dance Festival continues this weekend with festivities like master class instructions, lectures, and performances by both professionals and students.

Take the kids the Fairytale Breakfast Fundraiser at Creative Spark Center for the Arts. Puss in Boots and Cinderella will be there to join the breakfast buffet.

With not one, but TWO, animal expos and several taking place Saturday, this will be the day to delve into the wild world of the animal kingdom. Show the cold-blooded animals some love and learn all you’ve ever wanted to know about  lizards, frogs, and other species at the International Carolina Expo for Reptile and Amphibians Keepers. Current and future reptile owners alike can browse while talking to the expert keepers.

Prefer a pet with fur? There’s an expo for you too! The Lowcountry Paws and Claws expo will feature fun and educational demonstrations while local pet-oriented businesses will showcase their offerings. If you’re looking to get a new pet this weekend, this will be a one stop shop for all your pet’s need and information on becoming a pet owner. Once informed, adopt a new buddy at the Pet Helpers monthly Adopt-a-Thon.

Head to the Charleston Scottish Games to see the athletic feats of Border Collies in their herding and agility course demos. You can also see humans try their best in the heavy athletics and entertain youngsters with games or crafts.

Party animals can join the World’s Largest Paint Party at the Electronic Never Dies dance event, Dayglow. The scary-sounding paint cannons will blast partygoers with color, while an LED light show will bedazzle revelers.

Sunday, take your new dog for a stroll to the Neighborhood Revival, where the two of you can enjoy storytelling, dance to the music and view local artists’ work.

Catch the finale concert of Mozart in the South.

Let out any residual steam at the Old School Championship Wrestling Tag Team Wars 6. The legendary hardcore icon Raven will be returning to OSCW to face off against one of his former “flock” members LODI.

The Lowcountry Blueberry Jam is also taking place Sunday, where you can listen to live music by Guilt Ridden Troubadours and Davis Coen among thousands of blueberry plants. Refueler’s Mobile Cafe will be there serving their Filipino fusion and blueberry sweets and treats will also be available. Watch yourself, you don’t want to roll into work Monday like Violet Beauregarde.
