Is your pet really good at doing stupid tricks? I’m not talking about eating the couch or scattering a week’s worth of trash around the house (both things that my dog has done) — I’m talking about entertainment here.

A representative from The Late Show with David Letterman will be at Red’s Icehouse on Sun. Oct. 21 from 1-4 p.m. to record local pet tricks to bring back to producers of the show. If your pet’s trick is good enough, you might just be invited to appear on the show.

All kinds of animals are eligible, but you have to bring your own props and ensure that the animal is being treated humanely, obviously. Registration begins at noon, and you’ll be required to sign an Appearance Release & Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability in order to participate. You can find out more and download the release form at facebook.com/redsshemcreek.
