New restaurants move in quick. Come mid-November, the location of the recently departed Patat Spot, 41 George Street, will be the home of the third Manny’s Mediterranean Café in Charleston.

Manny’s serves lunch and dinner in family-style Greek dishes, pizza by the slice, and sandwiches in a fast-casual setting. While the menu will be very similar to the Manny’s Café in North Charleston, owner Mike Stavrinakis wants to appeal to his new neighborhood in other ways.

“Our menu and cuisine fits right in with the demographic there: locals and students looking for something healthy and affordable,” says Stavrinakis, who is confident students will dig the already popular loyalty points program.

Unique features at this location include whole wheat options and a more extensive wine and beer selection, including craft brews from local breweries like Westbrook. The newest Manny’s will also cater to late night cravings with plans to stay open until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, though later hours could be extended depending on customer preferences.
