Hollywood has the Oscars, and now the Charleston International Film Festival is searching for a name for their new branded award. CIFF has teamed up with the College of Charleston’s Department of Studio Art for the award, which will recognize the festival’s most talented participants. Anyone can make a suggestion, organizers just ask that it “screams out Charleston.” May we humbly suggest The Croakies, the Pluff Muds, or the Dolphins Leaping Over the Ravenel Bridge.
