It’s hard to believe it’s been two whole years. Westbrook Brewing Company turns two this week and, man, have they got some treats lined up for the celebration.

Since they sold their first keg of beer on Dec. 20, 2010, Edward and Morgan Westbrook will be tapping their first keg of the Second Anniversary Cap’n Skoon’s Ballistic Stout at Coleman Public House on Thursday at 7 p.m.

From the release notes: “Inspired by the legendary and fictional adventures of the mythical Cap’n Skoon (who bears an uncanny resemblance to our Head Brewer, Scott Koon), the Ballistic Baltic Stout is a massive imperial stout fermented with a lager yeast.”

And what’s a birthday without cake? They’ll be bringing along the 2011 release of Mexican Cake Imperial Stout.

In addition, special anniversary flights at the Brewery will be $6 all weekend. Here’s the lineup:

Thurs: Mourvedre Barrel Aged Quad, “Plum Pudding” Xmas Quad, Bella Vigna Tripel, Apple Brandy Barrel Tripel.

Fri: Lichtenhainer Weisse, Gratzer, FLANDERS RED, Brett & No Mices

Sat: Mini-Growler Imperial Stout with Cocoa Nibs and Seasalt, Mini-Growler with Black Cardamom, 2012 Mexican Coffee Cake, Apple Brandy Barrel Imperial Stout.

Most of these beers are pretty rare, and we’re very excited about all of them, especially the Flanders Red (which has been aging for quite some time now).

Now that’s an anniversary we can get excited about.
