So the week of Christmas is never a good one for events, and when you’re talking about free events, well … there are hardly any of those. Here’s what we scrounged up for this week.

On Tuesday (yep, Christmas Day), Home Team BBQ is hosting a Misfit Christmas Party at their Sullivan’s location. If you can’t make it home for the holidays, bring a dish to the potluck and hang out with other misfits. Tacky holiday apparel is encouraged.

On Wednesday, you can see Molly Durnin perform at How Art Thou? Cafe and Wine Bar.

Thursday, catch the Happy Story Hour with Jordan Igoe and Mackie Boles at the Mill.

The St. Julian Devine Kwanzaa Celebration is on Friday, and includes a parade and a feast, among other things. For music, check out Baby Fat at Art’s in Mt. P.

Saturday, the Masker Band performs at Morgan Creek Grill, and Morgan’s Road plays at The Brick.

On Sunday, beat the after-Christmas blues with TROM (Tin Roof Open Mic) Comedy Night: Holiday Edition. Not only is the comedy free, the pizza is too. Then go to bed early, ’cause you’ll be staying up late tomorrow night. Check out our New Year’s Eve roundup to see what’s in store for the last night of 2012.
