Local musicians are throwing a benefit concert this Saturday for Art’s Bar and Grill owners Kent and Lisha Frits. The Frits family, who’ve owned Art’s for the past 11 years, have been overwhelmed with medical bills since Lisha’s catastrophic heart attack in 2010, and the health issues that have followed it. She is currently in the screening process for a heart transplant.
A $10 donation will get you a plate from either Lewis Howard’s pig roast or all-you-can-eat oyster roast from Bull’s Bay. The music starts at 2 p.m. and goes until the wee hours, ending at 1 a.m., and will feature regular Art’s performers like Everette Bigbee and Stained Glass Window, as well as other local acts.
