The GG Crisp — a Mexican pizza?

  • The GG Crisp — a Mexican pizza?

Since opening less than two months ago, Guadalupe Grill owners Phil and April Buehler have served light, Southwestern fare with Sonoran and Baja influence. Drawing on their roots in Southern Arizona, the Buehlers have created a menu that features original items like the G. G. Dog, a Sonoran-style hot dog that’s popular in their Arizona hometown. Another popular menu item is the G. G. Crisp — a large flour tortilla topped with beef or chicken, and peppers, onions, and monterey jack and cheddar cheeses.

Other options include Baja fish and shrimp tacos and fajita-style quesadillas. The grill’s beachy atmosphere will probably have you setting your watch to island time, as will their drink menu. In addition to domestic and import beers, it features their specialty G. G. Freeze. This frozen, all-natural fruit and juice drink comes in several sizes, including the Beach Bucket size that boasts 30 servings and can be transported right to the beach. You can find them in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center on Ben Sawyer Boulevard. —Emily Taylor
