In case you’re wondering what the giant military-esque structure on far Upper King near the strip clubs is, we have the answer: Afghanistan. Army Wives has built a new set next door to their production office that includes a small military base and an enclosed Afghani street corner.

The show will shoot its seventh season at this location until May. It will pick up where season six left off, with the husbands returning to Afghanistan, and news that “Fort Marshall” will merge with an Air Force base. Season seven introduces a role played by singer Jesse McCartney, who’s been spotted by (mostly female) fans all over Charleston.
