O-ku Chef Thad Stuckey is ready to teach you a thing or two about real ramen and he’s bringing Chef Brian Riley all the way from Ohio to help school you.

“Brian specializes in ramen noodles. He’s worked in Japan, and can make the noodles from scratch,” says Stuckey. “We have a lot of Asian cuisine [in Charleston] but not a good ramen shop.”

Together, the two chefs have planned a special dinner to be held at O-ku. For $48, you’ll get a six-course dinner paired with a special craft beer to match the flavors of each course.

The first four courses are appetizers like duck salad and vegetable tempura, leading up to a ramen entrée and dessert.

“[This event] is me literally taking two of my favorite things—noodles and beer—and sharing them with Charleston,” Stuckey says.
