We heard something through the grapevine, Michael McDonald is returning to the Lowcountry. The Grammy-award winning singer is hitting up the North Charleston Performing Arts Center Sat. Oct. 12, and tickets go on sale Wed, March 20. After starting out with the Doobie Brothers and crooning on hits like “Takin’ It to the Streets,” McDonald went solo in the 1980s before he faded out of the Top 40 pop picture. Thankfully, the crooner jumped back into the spotlight in the mid-2000s with two cover albums, Motown and Motown II. His recent setlists should satisfy any McDonaldites in Charleston, spanning his work with the Doobies and his solo material. Tickets are $49.50 and $69.50.
