As usual, the Park Circle Film Society has a pretty full schedule planned for the next month.

Be sure to catch the 2013 Oscar Shorts on March 23 and March 30 at 8 p.m. The March 23 screening features five live action shorts (Asad, Buzkashi Boys, Curfew, Death of a Shadow, Henry), while the March 30 event is focused on animation (Fresh Guacamole, Adam and Dog, Head Over Heels, Maggie Simpson in “The Longest Daycare,” Paperman).

The April lineup kicks off on the 6th with Hunky Dory, a British coming-of-age film from the producer of Billy Elliot starring Minnie Driver. April 13 is A Place at the Table, a documentary that looks at under-nourished Americans. The screening includes a food drive and will be followed by a panel discussion. On April 20, Future Weather is about a young girl who’s abandoned by her mother and takes her survival into her own hands. On April 21, The Island President looks at President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives as he works to rescue his country from rising sea levels. Wrapping things up on April 27, Welcome to Pine Hill follows a reformed drug dealer in the days following a grim medical diagnosis.
