Local sea salt has become a thing.

McClellanville farmers Teresa and Rustin Gooden have taken sea water from Bulls Bay and successfully crystalized it into sea salt. And they’re hoping locavores will step up and help them fund their expansion efforts so they can produce more and market it. Check out Funding Charleston for more information.

They have raised $710 of their $10,120 goal so they can purchase more equipment and materials.
