A Charleston-bred supergroup is making its debut at Jail Break V on April 27. After the “How the Other Half Gives” charity tour in 2011, Crowfield’s Tyler Mechem, Ryan Bonner, and solo artist Luke Cunningham yearned to work together again. “We literally were suffering from post-tour depression,” Cunningham says. After Crowfield broke up, Bonner and Cunningham were between albums, making it the perfect time to collaborate. The band will perform original songs written by all three, unreleased solo material, and reworked popular favorites. “With multiple songwriters in a band you get the best of everybody,” Cunningham says. “We’ve recorded a song with more on the way. Right now, this is the honeymoon stage, we’re enjoying doing something different, and we want to bring it to as many ears as possible.” For more info visit jailbreakcharleston.com.
