H&M confirmed today that they are opening a location on King Street. Ardent fans of the retailer have been throwing around rumors of a local opening for years, yet every time we’ve contacted H&M for confirmation, we’ve gotten a curt “No.” Maybe all that pestering finally got through to them. The Post and Courier‘s Warren Wise says it’ll be in the old Kress building (most recently Williams-Sonoma) at 281 King St. It should be open by the fall.
