We’ve heard mixed reviews of Handspring/Bristol Old Vic’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream — reviewer Elizabeth Pandolfi gave it a B, saying it’s challenging but worthwhile, and overview critic Jeffrey Day said, “This is possibly one of the most misguided plays I’ve ever seen at the festival or anywhere.” Ouch.
Still, we jumped at the chance to go behind the scenes with some of the show’s puppets and their handlers. There’s no denying the artistry behind these creations by Handspring Puppet Company. Check out this video to see them in action.
