German-born DJ and producer Zedd will be making a stop in Charleston on his Clarity World Tour for a Sept. 4 gig at the Music Farm. The EDM artist is currently celebrating his platinum-selling single “Clarity,” featuring Foxes, and his nomination as one of MTV’s Artists to Watch. (If you haven’t heard “Clarity” by now, then you probably don’t listen to Top 40 radio. Your loss.)
A classically trained musician, Zedd experimented with a range of genres — we’re not joking when we say “punk” — before finding his niche crafting infectious, high-energy pop songs that will have you singing and dancing along, whether or not you’d ever admit it.
In addition to producing original music, the artist has released official remixes of songs by several pop icons, including Lady Gaga, the Black-Eyed Peas, Swedish House Mafia, P. Diddy and Skrillex.
