The Charleston Record Expo is coming back to Monster Music and the West Ashley Shoppes, 946 Orleans Rd., on Sat. Sept. 21. The expo is free and tons of records will be on sale, with prices ranging from $1 to $100. You can also have your old vinyl appraised by experts for sale.

Of course, there’ll be more to do than just flipping through boxes of vintage vinyl, looking for that a copy of spoon-bending psychic Uri Gellar’s long-playing debut. Space Craft Studios’ Allison Merrick will be there to teach you how to mold a record into a bowl (11 a.m.-2 p.m.), the Refueler’s Mobile Café food truck will be serving up tasty Filipino fare, and Papa Robbie’s Reggae All Stars will be laying down good-time grooves starting at 2 p.m. Donations for the Space Craft Studio session will benefit Girls Rock Charleston. During Papa Robbie’s set you’ll able to donate to the Montego Bay Animal Haven, a pet rescue clinic in Jamaica.

The expo starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m.
