TEDx Charleston organizers have announced a date and location for the 2014 idea-fest: April 8 at Memminger Auditorium.

This will be the second year that Charleston hosts a TEDx event — as you probably already know, TEDx events are independently organized, local versions of the larger TED events, which bring global luminaries together for a series of short, inspirational talks. Charleston is one of thousands of cities across the world that host TEDx.

The theme this year is “Ripple Effect,” which you can read more about in our earlier post. The deadline to apply to speak has been extended to Nov. 3, so get those nomination forms ready. You can submit yours at tedxcharleston.org/speakers.
