Piccolo Spoleto and the MOJA Arts Festival have released a call for entries art to feature on promotional items and merchandise for next year. The winning pieces will be seen by thousands all over town at outside events and on program covers.

Piccolo is looking for an image that is representative of the visual and performing art festival’s inclusiveness and energy, while MOJA wants more of a heritage- and community-centered work to highlight its wide array of African-American and Caribbean events.

Artwork must be two-dimensional and created within the last two years by artists living in South Carolina, but it can not have been exhibited in Charleston before. The application also asks for additional work samples.

The deadline for submissions is January 21.

You can find submission applications for both events on the Charleston Arts website
