[image-1]Charleston Comedy Festival, co-produced by Theatre 99 and Charleston City Paper, kicks off Wed., Jan. 15 at Theatre 99 with local improv troupes Organized Chaos, Full Love Throttle, Human Fireworks, and Little Miss Codependent performing for a mere $5 per double-bill.
On Thursday night, the South Carolina Federal Credit Union sponsors a night of improv with Improv Riot followed by a double bill of affordable comedy ($5!) featuring Moral Fixation and Neckprov.
On Friday night, the comedy spreads across town to six more venues, with comedians coming from around the country to perform stand-up, sketch, and improv (the Jan. 15 City Paper will have the full festival program guide). But don’t wait to buy your tickets. CCF is running a great deal right now. For every ticket you buy in advance, get one ticket free to a future Theatre 99 show.
Here’s how it works: Purchase your tickets in advance. When you arrive at the box office during the Comedy Festival say the phrase “I dig T99,” and the box office manager will give you a free ticket to a future Theatre 99 show for every ticket you purchased.
