The next season of House of Cards comes out tomorrow. Chances are that someone you know, maybe you, has gone around reminding everyone who hasn’t seen it that it’s coming out tomorrow and that they should catch up. You’ve seen S.C. Congressman Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, wading through the floodwaters on Wentworth and you hear Robyn Wright is kind of good in it, but it’s still burning a hole in your Netflix queue. Well, aren’t you in for a treat that will surely make you press play.
The folks over at NowThisNews.com have called in the big guns: Tim Scott, Jeff Duncan, Jim Clyburn, and Trey Gowdy, to make the hard sell on the new season, asking the sitting pols to recite memorable season one lines that turn out to be a little more fitting for some of the actors than others.
Jim Clyburn: The godfather of the S.C. House delegation? I’m pretty screwed.
Trey Gowdy: Former prosecutor and renowned hair enthusiast? I’ll be lucky if I only get fired for this.
Tim Scott: New kid on the block in the Senate and GOP standard bearer? The furrowed brow at the end really sealed it.
And, well, at least Jeff Duncan‘s Clemson tie makes up a little for Trey Gowdy’s plaid suit coat.
Just watch for yourself. But frankly we’re still waiting for Tom Rice’s best Underwood.
