Monster Music and Movies’ annual Charleston Record Expo is set for Sat. March 15. Thousands of vinyl records will be available for purchase. Retailers from across the Eastern seaboard will be happy to talk you into a buying a record in between bites of Moose’s Mobile BBQ. The Expo starts at 10 a.m. and admission is free.
If you’re an Anglophile or just a fan of good music, Jake Bugg will play at Monster on Thurs. March 20. Bugg is an up-and-coming British singer-songwriter whose sound harkens back to such time-honored acts as Donovan, Neil Young, and the Kinks. The Monster show is his only regional appearance in the U.S. while he’s promoting his second full album, Shangri-La. The 3 p.m. show is free.
Both events will be held at Monster Music, located at 946 Orleans Road across from Citadel Mall.
