Hoops there it is. The Alley’s Hoop Fever Challenge starts up on Fri. March 21 at 7 p.m. and has 64 two-person teams shooting hoops in hopes to win some major bones. It’s actually $700 worth of bones that is, with $500 going to the winners and $200 to second place.
Oh, and if you thought this was about a bracket, you’re wrong. It’s all about the arcade game Hoop Fever. The teams are randomly selected to go against each in the arcade shooting game of your childhood. The team who scores the most moves forward to next week’s competition on Fri. March 28. And even if you don’t move past the first round, you get cheap drinks for the whole tournament with $12 buckets of Bud Light.
You’ll need to pre-register for the event. And you should hurry, there’s only a few spots left. It’ll cost you $10 — that’s only $5 apiece if single digits are more appealing.
