Earth Day is next Tuesday, and Charleston County Environmental Management is using the occasion to roll out (get it?) its new single stream recycling program’s mascot.
After a vicious round of public nominations that may or may not have involved a forehead can crushing competition (extreme recycling), Charleston County has presented us with four names and wants you to vote for your favorite before April 23.
The finalists are:
- Randy “Re-New” the Recycling Guru
- Phil D. Bin
- “Ollie,” the All-In-One
- Philup Cartaway
We’ll let you catch your breath.
Now, you can’t reduce, reuse, or recycle your vote, that’s only good once. So get to it and cast your vote.
The county says it will announce the winner at its Earth Day Festival next Saturday.
