Hunter Park and Jesse Ledford make up the “abandoned house folk” duo She Returns From War, and they’ll be taking their music to Columbia, S.C.’s Jam Room studio on Wed. May 28 to record a four-song debut EP. The two have played frequently around Charleston for the past few months, stopping listeners in their tracks with superb harmonies and poignant love stories told through song.
“I write most of the songs about heartbreak,” Park says, “but it comes from being constantly immersed in so much beauty in this city. I think that intensifies the romance.” The tracks to be recorded range from ones Park wrote this year to songs she composed back in high school. Y’all can look out for a summertime release.
