The Charleston City Paper is hosting an Independence Day Pet Adopt-A-Thon in our July 2nd issue. The purpose of the Adopt-A-Thon is to work with local shelters to find permanent homes for abandoned and neglected animals. The last Adopt-A-Thon placed almost all of the 38 sponsored animals in permanent homes and generated over $500 for local shelter organizations like Pet Helpers, Noah’s Ark Rescue, Doc Williams SPCA, Frances R. Willis SPCA and more. The last chance to help is 12PM this Friday, June 27th.
Sponsored animals receive color picture ads 4 times the size of our normal listings. The City Paper drastically reduces the cost of these ads to make them affordable to as many people as possible. The ads are paid for by people/companies/organizations sponsoring the animal for adoption. The sponsoring party is recognized in the ad. A portion of the cost of sponsorship goes directly to the rescue organization where the animal can be adopted. Sponsorships are only $60 per animal. A color ad that size would normally be over $150. It is our hope that this time around we can place even more pets in permanent homes.
Consider sponsoring an animal through your business, in honor of your furry friend, or for the animal lover who already has enough pets.
Our deadline for sponsorships is 12PM this Friday, June 27th. To participate, please contact Shelby at 577-5304 x1100 or shelby@charlestoncitypaper.com. Thank you for your help and consideration.
