Well, well, well, lookie here. It appears that T. Rav is recanting his June 2 tweet about not participating in a possible second season of Southern Charm. In an email sent to media outlets around the state, Ravenel announced this morning that he will take part again.
If there is a Season 2 of #Southern Charm, I will not be a participant. I do wish the show the best though.

But what about his political career, you may ask? That’s the reason behind it he says … in third person.
“I struggled with this decision in light of the political campaign I am undertaking,” Ravenel writes in the email. “Ultimately it came down to this: It doesn’t make sense to turn down a platform that enables you to spread your ideas to a bigger, more diverse audience. If America is ever going to turn things around, we’ve got to get rid of this notion that cookie cutter politicians with their blemish-free backgrounds are the way to go. The truth is those are the very politicians who are driving this country into a ditch. That’s never been who Thomas Ravenel is — and so owning a part of my life that doesn’t fit the typical political mold is fine by me.”
We received an email from an NBC Universal rep yesterday saying the cast had not been confirmed as of yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see who else will appear in season two.
