Every year around this time, we open nominations for the City Paper Music Awards. The annual CPMAs and the corresponding awards issue spotlight the best music the Holy City has to offer for that year. And now through September 10, you can let us know who you think deserves to be on the final ballot.
We’re pretty excited about this year’s awards, because the past 12 months has seen some pretty rockin’ music come out of the Holy City, so what better way to recognize your favorites than by tossing their name in the hat for a CPMA? After the top nominees have been selected, we’ll open up voting for the actual CPMAs.
We’ve made some changes to the categories this year. For example, Country/Americana/Rockabilly is no longer one single category; instead with have separate categories for Country, Americana, and Bluegrass.
