We can’t blame North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey for breaking out into song over today’s announcement that guitarist and singer-songwriter James Taylor is coming to the Coliseum in November. Apparently Taylor has a friend in Summey, who cut a special video announcing Taylor’s return to North Charleston today.

Tickets go on sale for James Taylor’s November 21 show at the North Charleston Coliseum on September 12 at Ticketmaster.

But, Mr. Mayor, we can’t help but notice that poor ol’ Cher didn’t get a video tribute on the announcement of her November 19 date at the Coliseum.

Personally, we think the mayor could do a rockin’ rendition of “If I could Turn Back Time” or “I Found Someone.”

What’s that? Don’t think you have the pipes to stack up against the Goddess of Pop? No problem, Cher also brought us auto-tune, so with the press of a few buttons, we can all measure up.

Tickets for Cher’s November 19 show go on sale this Friday at Ticketmaster.
