Verde, Charleston’s locally-owned made-to-order salad and wrap restaurant, is turning three on Thurs. Oct. 23. And to celebrate, both the downtown and Mt. Pleasant locations are participating in the all-day “salad-bration.” Guests can stop in spot between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for deals on salads and wraps (all priced $3.65) and the chance to win a prizes, for instance, a free salad voucher.

“We’ve been really lucky. I think that Charleston was ready to embrace the concept of healthy food,” says Verde co-owner Jennifer Ferrebee about the Verde’s success. She credits the niche market and their loyal regulars for keeping the business going over the past three years. “We see the same people in the restaurant two or three times a week, and we just want to say thank you to them and all of our customers.”
