One-time Charlestonian Owen Beverly is debuting the brand new video for “Devil’s in the Details” via the City Paper today. The video was shot at Greenwood Cemetery, near Beverly’s home in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
“This is one of the first songs I wrote for the record,” says Beverly. “I was experimenting with finger-picking and open tunings, and it just kind of evolved. It reminds me of Radiohead. There’s just a handful of words, and the meaning is at once obvious, vague, and spooky.”
The track is off his October release, Amager. Though Beverly has been involved with other projects like French Camp and The In-Laws, Amager is his first solo record in six years.
