Charleston garage-punk band Dumb Doctors released a video today for the track “Garden.” Directed by local musician Nick Jenkins, a.k.a. Mr. Jenkins, the video began as a complex concept that was eventually ditched for a more stripped-down idea. The result is something more in tune with the band’s raw sound. Frontman Scott Dence says, “Nick is a minimalist and someone who likes to improvise, which allows him to make his art at the drop of a hat — like magic. The new concept is sort of like the Warhol screen tests of the Factory people: black and white, strange lighting, shot from the waist up with our instruments as the only props.” Check it out below:
