New Shem Creek restaurant Tavern & Table had some celebrity help in its interior design: Taniya Nayak, a collaborator for HGTV and Rachel Ray’s talk show. Nayak, whose work has appeared on Restaurant: Impossible among other HGTV shows, designed the rugged-meets-contemporary vibe of the new waterfront eatery.
Tavern & Table takes over the old Lighthouse on the Creek spot, and Nayak has added repurposed wood for tabletops, tufted seats, and teal leather bar stools.
Nayak will attend the invitation-only private reception Thurs. Dec. 11, but for everyone else looking for some HGTV inspiration, you can check out her designs when Tavern & Table opens to the public tomorrow, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m.
