Little Stranger, a hip-hop group comprising Charleston’s John Shields, a.k.a. Leaf Eater, and Kevin Shields of Philadelphia, has released a video for the new track, “Rosewater.” The song combines rapping, electro beats, folksy guitar strums, and infectious melodies.

Though Little Stranger plans to release an EP by mid-April, John says his solo project Leaf Eater is his main focus.

Yet another project of John’s, Long Miles, is reuniting at the Music Farm on April 16. Long Miles is a rock-reggae four-piece that originated in John’s hometown, Philadelphia.

Here’s Little Stranger’s first single, “Rosewater.”
