For the past four years, Chef Stuart Tracy has been the face behind the much-loved menu at Butcher & Bee. From Croissant’wiches to Cauliflower Melts to that wickedly good burger, he’s kept the menu creative and loyal patrons fed, but now it’s time for him to move on.

After seeing a Facebook post from the chef this morning, we’ve confirmed with B&B’s Randi Weinstein that Tracy has decided to leave the Bee for Atlanta’s Parish restaurant.ย

“We are sad to see him go, and he has done amazing things for us at the Bee!” writes Weinstein in an email. “He is a stand-up guy and in an industry that is so demanding, a true gem to work with.”ย

But Weinstein assures us that Tracy’s departure will not slow the Butcher & Bee down. Chelsey Conrad, who has worked at B&B for three years, will take over the kitchen. “Yes, we can add one more female head chef into the mix in Charleston!” says Weinstein. “We are excited for her and the rest of the team as we rearrange some positions and figure out a new normal for us at the Bee. That being said, it will be a simple baton pass as there will not be a change in our quality, style, or creativeness.”

As for Tracy, you can wish him farewell during his last shift this Saturday night.
