We received two announcements from Nancy Flynn, the co-owner of Jack’s Cafe today: 1) The restaurant is now serving beer and wine and that means mimosas and micheladas. And 2) The brave new restaurant owners are entering the land of late-night dining; Thursday through Saturday, Jack’s will stay open and serve food until 3 a.m.*

“Our location across from the Sottile Theatre and the Cistern will allow us to offer our theater patrons an alternative dining and dessert option,” says Flynn. “Our late hours will offer the students and restaurant industry professionals a much needed option in our area.”

Embracing the real college diner feel is a bold move for the little cafe. We hope they’ll consider hiring a bouncer. Here’s the menu so you can start planning your post-bar meal now.

*Editor’s Note: According to city ordinance, commercial establishments which allow for the on-premises consumption of beer, ale, porter, wine, and/or alcoholic liquors shall be prohibited from operating between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. We’ve reached out to the restaurant to confirm their new hours and are awaiting an update.
