Have you heard? There’s a new burrito joint opening in town. That’s right, YoBo Cantina Fresca in Park Circle opens its its doors for lunch and dinner today.

YoBo owner Katharine Gottfried says the crew is still ironing out the wrinkles, but the new location at 1067 E. Montague Ave. will be open today and tomorrow from 11:30-2 p.m. for lunch and 6:30-9 p.m. for dinner. For now, they’ll be closed on Sundays, but watch social media for their full hours.

UPDATE: A well placed source (Facebook) tells us YoBo will, in fact, be open for happy hour today. Mason jar margs for everyone!

Park Circle’s newest addition sets up shop in what used to be Cork Neighborhood Bistro in the midst of a wave of interest in the Olde Village North Charleston strip.

East Montague recently welcomed The Vegetable Bin and The Junction, a neighborhood diner-slash-watering hole that replaced Port City Pizza on Spruill Avenue. The owner of Basil is also planning a Vietnamese concept on East Montague and Summerville’s Accent on Wine was recently spotted after they filed paperwork to open a new wine bar a few doors down.

“The growth and diversity of restaurants along East Montague is indicative of the Park Circle community as a whole,” said North Charleston spokesman Ryan Johnson. “We proudly welcome YoBo to the street and look forward to their years of success and delicious burritos.”

YoBo Cantina Fresca in Park Circle is the second location of the smaller sit-down version of its downtown predecessor, Yo Burrito, known for its killer mason jar margaritas and made-to-order burritos, nachos, and similar Southwestern dishes.

Oh, if you’re downtown and you just must have a burrito rapidamente, Chipotle opens today on King Street.
