After four months in operation, motorcycle-themed vegan dive Motobar (487 King St.) has announced it’s shutting its doors. A Facebook post says the restaurant will serve its last meal this weekend and that a new restaurant will take over soon. When we called Motobar this morning, the manager said he couldn’t comment on the changes at this time.

While our reviewer Eric Doksa took issue with many parts of the menu, writing, “In a town that’s surrounded by farms providing amazing produce, there’s really no reason to resort to ‘faux this and ‘faux that’ — we appreciated owner Paris Evans attempt at a unique concept, carrying on the tradition of this address, previously home to Fifth Element-esque L.I.F.E. Bar. Maybe the next tenant will marry that spirit of creativity — Czech-Canadian fusion? — with great cuisine.
