Recreational marijuana use may not be legal in South Carolina, but with the passage of the Medical Cannabis Therapeutic Treatment Research Act last year, many feel it’s not far off. And that has some area chefs toying with weed-infused recipes — we already know of one working on reefer spiked-pies. Of course, until it’s officially legalized, today’s 4/20 parties will likely be clandestine affairs, unless you hit up King Street’s HōM. The restaurant wants to help potheads celebrate the cannabis holiday with a weed-themed menu.

In a press release, the burger boutique invites Charleston “to chill during their 420 party” with the day’s special: a hemp seed burger and Sweetwater 420 beer for $10.

Specialty cocktails will also be served including a Liquid Marijuana drink ($4.20). The appropriately green, but weed-free beverage (false advertising, bro) will include Captain Morgan spiced rum, Blue Curacao liqueur, Malibu® coconut rum, Midori melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and a splash of sweet and sour mix.

Or, if you really want a flashback to college, there’s Dirty Bong Water shots ($4.20 a piece). Think back to those hours you spent senior year watching Family Guy stoned on the couch instead of going to chemistry class as you pound a blend of Chambord raspberry liqueur, Blue Curacao liqueur, amaretto almond liqueur, spiced rum, and sweet and sour mix.

The restaurant’s ping pong tables will be open for business — so you can test your baked eye-hand coordination —  and Cards Against Humanity will be available “for a full day of chilling with friends.”
