Are you a full-time visual artist painting away into the wee hours of the morning? How about some Joe Schmoe who spilled coffee on their notebook and doodled around the stain? Or, maybe you’re that student prodigy who will be the next big up-and-comer in the art world. No matter who you are, we’re looking for works of art that truly put the “awe” in “awesome sauce.” All artists and illustrators in the greater Charleston area are invited to submit their best new and original 2D works in the Charleston City Paper’s 2015 Visual Art Contest.
All entries are $10 per image.
Enter as many times as you would like. Artists can enter either in the General or Student categories.
The top winners will receive cash or prizes and their work will be published in the City Paper’s June 10, 2015 issue. Cash prize payouts will be determined by the total number of entries.
Entries must be submitted online by no later than 5 p.m. May 29, 2015. Deadline extended to June 17, 2015.
