As part of the Jewish Federation of Charleston’s “Movies with a Conscience” series, Terrace Theatre will be showing Above and Beyond, a documentary about the American volunteers who started the Israel Air Force.

Most Americans forget that after WWII, another war started in 1948 in the Middle East. Above and Beyond tells the stories of the American Jewish pilots who smuggled planes out of the U.S. and flew for Israel in its War of Independence.

The film starts at 7 p.m. and general admission is $10, and patron admission (including reserved seats) is $18. Get advance tickets at terracetheatre.com or call (843) 762-4247.
