On October 24, North Charleston’s Riverfront Park will host a handful of superstar acts including Passion Pit, The Roots, Walk the Moon, St. Lucia, and more for the “Be More Tea Festival,” sponsored by Lipton Tea.

Lipton broke the news about the festival, which is being thrown in honor of the company’s 125th birthday, last week.

The Post and Courier reports that the event will require tickets, but will free and open to the public. Ticketing information has not yet been released.

In addition to live music, Billboard.com says the event will have a “neighborhood block party-meets-carnival vibe,” and Lipton promises a “tea wonderland” as one of the ways the event “will inspire people to live life the tea way.”

North Charleston’s Riverfront Park sits at the northern end of the Navy Yard and includes a large field with public restrooms and a bandshell. The park is frequently used by local residents for holiday and family events, but the Lipton event is one of the biggest to come through the area that we can recall. Shag fans may want to come out to the park next week as The Tams stop in for the first of the city-sponsored Rockin’ the River events of the summer.
