You may not consider affable City Paper cartoonist Steve Stegelin comparable to terrorists, but he does.
During his TEDxCharleston presentation in April, Stegelin describes how he views his job as a satirist in the opening pages of each week’s City Paper:
“Oddly enough–satirists and terrorists–we’re kind of two sides of the same coin. We’re both provocateurs. And we both find issue with the world around us and point it out.”
The difference, Stegelin says, is how they deliver their message.
