North Charleston’s Olde Village now has a wine bar. A while back, we reported that Summerville’s popular wine bar Accent on Wine was planning a Park Circle location. Well, on Saturday, the newest addition to the surging East Montague Avenue quietly opened for business.

Featuring a long curving bar, ample tables for couples or small groups, sidewalk dining space, and an outdoor patio in the rear, Accent on Wine aims to become a destination as a low-key gathering place and retail bottle shop. A lengthy, descriptive menu lays out more than 30 wines available by the half-glass, full-glass, and bottle. Meat and cheese boards are also available — pick three of either for $16.

The new location sits at 1056 East Montague Ave., between nearby Fratello’s and the planned Vietnamese restaurant from Basil owner Henry Eang. Hours are Mon.-Wed. 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Thurs.-Sat. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
