The St. Lawrence String Quartet, which is one of the world’s premier string quartets, welcomed their newest member, Owen Dalby, at their June 1 performance as part of the Spoleto Festival USA’s chamber music concerts, which are every day at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. throughout the festival.

Dalby is a 30-year-old violinist who’s been featured in The New York Times, the New Yorker, and other major publications. Along with the other members of the quartet — co-founders Geoff Nuttall (violin) and Lesley Robertson (viola), and Christopher Costanza (cello) — Dalby lives and teaches at Stanford University in California.

The St. Lawrence String Quartet will also perform Wed. June 3 at 11 a.m., and Fri. June 5, Sat. June 6, and Sun. June 7 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
